Today, a customer asked me what the complete set of equipment for RDF processing from domestic waste is. The raw materials are mainly furniture, mattresses, sofas, fabrics, leather in domestic waste. The output requirements are about 800 tons per month. The complete set of equipment for processing domestic waste into RDF generally includes: primary shredder, sorting equipment, fine shredder, drying treatment, press forming equipment, etc. Let us briefly understand a few of these steps.
Primary shredder
With its special cutting system and shaft, the primary shredder can crush domestic garbage before sorting. It can simply crush and process a large amount of materials, open the garbage bag, and prepare for manual or automatic sorting of materials. For coarse crushing, both sides of the blade are designed with reverse blades to ensure that the service life of the blade is prolonged under the same wear.
Sorting
There are different sorting methods: manual, automatic or semi-automatic.
Manual sorting: manual selection is carried out by a sorting platform, on which the operator can collect different kinds of materials;
Semi-automatic sorting: it is a combination of manual sorting and automatic sorting (magnet, eddy current separator);
Automatic sorting: a fully automatic production line using specific machines (for example: optical sorter, ECS, magnet).
Fine Shredder
After separating the non-breakable parts (for example, hard metal parts, rocks), the unsorted materials are finely crushed to produce RDF. The high working standards of the GEP RDF production line ensure a large production volume of RDF in the treatment of domestic waste. In particular, the single-shaft fine shredder is equipped with a fully welded coated rotor and a specially aligned cutting board. The output size can be customized according to customer requirements and material composition.
At the end of the MSW process, the RDF can be sent to the incinerator for combustion and energy generation. The RDF made from domestic waste makes full use of the calorific value of domestic waste, which is in line with the advocacy of waste resource utilization.
