As the use of alternative fuels in the cement industry continues to expand, waste textiles are increasingly being considered as an alternative to fossil fuels due to their relatively high combustible content and widespread availability. However, textile waste is typically lightweight, bulky, and prone to tangling, making it inefficient to store and transport in its original form.
For a cement kiln alternative fuel preparation project, GEP ECOTECH designed a 6 TPH textile shredding and baling system. By combining volume reduction through shredding with high-pressure compression and baling, the system converts bulky waste textiles into a more compact and manageable alternative fuel feedstock, making it easier to store, transport, and utilize in subsequent processes.
