Bulky Waste

Bulky Waste

Common Disposal Processes

Bulky waste refers to large, durable items like furniture, appliances, and garden waste. Common disposal methods include landfilling and incineration, while recycling offers a more sustainable solution. Recycling bulky waste conserves resources, reduces landfill pressure, and promotes a circular economy. GEP ECOTECH offers a comprehensive bulky waste recycling system, an integrated solution that combines volume reduction (via shredding), sorting, and resource recovery. It is suitable for municipal sanitation, solid waste treatment centers, and resource recovery projects.

Common Disposal Process

The common bulky waste recycling process typically involves several key steps. First, materials are fed via a Chain Plate Conveyor into a Double Shaft Shredder for primary size reduction. After shredding, a Magnetic Separator (or suspended overbelt magnet) removes ferrous metals from the output stream. The remaining mixed materials (wood, textiles, etc.) are then transported on a Belt Conveyor to a Hydraulic Baler for compaction into dense bales. Finally, these bales are transported for further processing or recovery. This process efficiently reduces volume, recovers valuable metals, and prepares materials for downstream handling.
